Ireland-headquartered climate technology company Trane Technologies has been identified in city permit plans as the tenant for a new manufacturing facility at AllianceFlorida at Cecil Commerce Center in Jacksonville, Florida, with the plant understood to be dedicated to the production of modular data centre cooling systems. The development is directly relevant to manufacturing operators in the data centre infrastructure sector, where demand for scalable, modular cooling solutions is accelerating alongside growth in AI computing workloads.

As reported by the Jacksonville Daily Record, city Certificate of Use and building permit plans show that Trane will undertake tenant improvements in the 603,529 sq ft Building E at 5550 POW-MIA Memorial Parkway, with The Conlan Co. of Jacksonville identified as the contractor for the project. The improvement works are estimated at $1.78 million (€1.63 million) and include the addition of cranes, increased lighting and new equipment, an exhaust fan for a battery charging area, a new compressor room and a fenced storage area.

Trane Technologies is headquartered at Airside Business Park in Swords, Co. Dublin, and is the parent company of the Trane brand, a globally recognised provider of thermal management solutions for commercial buildings, industrial applications and data centre infrastructure. The company completed the purchase of a Jacksonville-area business in February 2026, which is understood to have established its existing presence in the city ahead of the Building E tenancy.

Trane's data centre portfolio spans air cooling, liquid cooling and modular infrastructure, with capabilities covering design, manufacturing and turnkey delivery of systems used by hyperscale and colocation operators globally. The company is also a member of the Open Compute Project, contributing expertise in advanced cooling, operational resilience and sustainable digital infrastructure.

The Jacksonville facility expands Trane's North American manufacturing footprint at a time of intensifying demand for data centre cooling capacity. Global data centre construction activity is at record levels, driven by hyperscaler investment in AI infrastructure, and modular cooling systems have become a preferred format for operators seeking faster deployment, scalability and reduced onsite construction complexity.

AllianceFlorida at Cecil Commerce Center is a city-owned industrial park in West Jacksonville developed by Dallas-based Hillwood, which serves as the master developer. Building E is a 603,529 sq ft speculative facility on 45 acres at the intersection of POW-MIA Memorial Parkway and Finger Lake Street.
