Ireland’s manufacturing sector soared 34% in the three months to May, driven by multinationals accelerating output in response to looming US-EU tariffs. The chemical, pharmaceutical, and tech-heavy modern sector led the charge with a 40.6% spike, while traditional industries edged up just 1.7%.

Turnover across manufacturing jumped 19.4%—a clear sign of strategic ramp-ups amid global trade uncertainty.
