The Life Sciences Industry Conference 2026 has set its agenda around one of the most pressing questions facing Ireland's pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing community: how to put artificial intelligence to work on the manufacturing floor safely, at scale, and for real.

The session examines the data foundations, integration requirements, change management disciplines, and return on investment considerations that determine whether AI programmes scale or stall.

People, Skills and Organisational Change forms the third theme, recognising that AI adoption is a people challenge before it is a technology challenge. The session focuses on workforce preparation, skills development, and the importance of keeping human expertise central to decision-making as automation and intelligent systems become more embedded in production processes.

The fourth theme, The AI-Ready Enterprise, brings a leaders' panel perspective to strategy, investment priorities, and competitive positioning, exploring what an AI-ready manufacturing organisation looks like over the next five years and how digital transformation and business technology can support growth while preserving quality, compliance, and patient safety.
