Canada-based energy technology company Global Power Solutions Corp. has launched a formal process to identify a manufacturing and system integration facility in Western Canada to support commercialisation of its proposed Modular H₂ Reactor decentralised power platform, according to a GlobeNewswire press release,

The company is reviewing potential industrial sites across British Columbia and Alberta that could serve as both a manufacturing base for licensed system components and a staging and integration hub for its modular hydrogen power units.

The proposed facility would receive, assemble, test and integrate commercially available hydrogen production, storage and power generation technologies into deployable modular units, with certain licensed mechanical components expected to be produced using advanced additive manufacturing processes.

Global Power Solutions intends to generate revenue through the manufacture, integration and deployment of modular hydrogen power systems, alongside licensing, servicing and potential long-term power supply agreements. The platform is designed to deliver scalable distributed power solutions for remote infrastructure, industrial operations and next-generation data centre development.

Haneef Esmail, chief financial officer of Global Power Solutions Corp., said: "Establishing a Western Canadian manufacturing and integration hub is an important step as we advance the commercialisation of the Modular H₂ Reactor platform. Evaluating potential locations with strong industrial infrastructure and skilled labour will help position the Company to efficiently integrate and deploy modular power systems across North America and international markets."

The site evaluation will assess availability, logistics, access to skilled labour, industrial infrastructure and potential manufacturing partnerships. Western Canada was identified for its developing hydrogen ecosystem, advanced manufacturing capabilities and established energy infrastructure.

Further updates on site selection will be provided as the evaluation process advances.
