US-based beverage solutions company Finlays Solutions, headquartered in Glenview, Illinois, has expanded its manufacturing platform to include aseptic processing and fruit-based beverage production, offering foodservice operators and product developers a broader range of formulation and manufacturing options under one roof. The development is relevant to manufacturers navigating growing demand for clean-label, shelf-stable beverage products.

As reported by Food Business News, the expansion follows Finlays Solutions' acquisition of Leahy-IFP, a Chicago-based aseptic packer and formulator of fruit-based beverages, completed in January 2026.

The integrated platform now combines tea, coffee, botanicals and fruit-based solutions, giving customers access to multiple beverage categories through a single manufacturing partner.

Aseptic manufacturing capability supports shelf-life extension without the use of preservatives or refrigeration, enabling broader distribution for finished products. The fruit-based beverage offering covers refreshers, lemonades, smoothies and purees, all of which can be combined with tea, coffee and botanicals.

The expanded platform also includes an innovation lab, providing product development and testing opportunities with research and development and technical teams.

Kathleen Timperman, chief science and innovation officer at Finlays Solutions, said: "This integration has created the perfect blend of expertise to help meet exploding demand for natural beverages. Clean label and shelf stability are table-stakes for beverage innovation, and aseptic technology is the key to delivering both without compromises. What excites me most is that our customers can now move faster on hybrid concepts that resonate with consumers, like premium fruit teas with functional benefits."

The acquisition of Leahy-IFP and subsequent platform integration reflects a broader trend in food and beverage manufacturing towards consolidating formulation, processing and technical development capabilities within single supplier relationships. For manufacturers and foodservice operators seeking to reduce complexity in their supply chains, the one-roof model offers a more streamlined route from concept to production.

The expansion positions Finlays Solutions to compete more directly in the fast-growing functional and natural beverage segment, where demand for aseptic formats and hybrid product concepts continues to increase across retail and foodservice channels.
