Ireland-based pharmaceutical manufacturer Chanelle Pharma has announced a strategic partnership with Germany-based enterprise software company SAP SE to implement SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Business AI across its global operations.
The programme will modernise Chanelle Pharma's end-to-end operational value chain, covering core finance, manufacturing and supply chain processes, while strengthening compliance with GxP regulatory requirements. The transformation is being delivered as a single-phase programme targeting a go-live date of late 2026, with implementation carried out jointly by Tenthpin and KaarTech.
Chanelle Pharma will first deploy SAP's ERP platform to establish a clean core built on SAP best practices, creating the foundation for subsequent integration of advanced SAP Business AI capabilities. The implementation will leverage Tenthpin's SAP Signavio processes, which are optimised specifically for contract development and manufacturing organisations.
Chanelle Pharma currently exports to more than 90 countries, with operations spanning Ireland, the United Kingdom, Portugal and Jordan.
Aiden Dempsey, chief information officer at Chanelle Pharma, said: "This strategic partnership with SAP marks a pivotal moment in our growth trajectory. We are investing heavily in a scalable digital foundation that will accelerate our time-to-market and drive global manufacturing excellence. SAP S/4HANA Cloud and Business AI give us the competitive advantage to pioneer the future of the pharmaceutical industry while maintaining the highest standards of GxP compliance."
Ray Joyce, head of Ireland at SAP UK and Ireland, said: "Pharmaceutical organisations are operating in an increasingly complex environment, where regulation, supply chains and demand can all shift quickly. SAP's Cloud ERP strengthens organisational resilience and governance processes and provides data insights from across the business."
Simon Flowers, partner at Tenthpin, said the single-phase approach would enable Chanelle Pharma to navigate operational and regulatory complexity with greater certainty, supported by a digital backbone capable of evolving with future requirements.
